Henry Grant started to work for a news agency on Fleet Street in the 1940s and pursued a career as a photojournalist. Grant photographed endlessly, both for the stories he was sent to illustrate and whilst travelling about in between these assignments. He was skilled at spotting and capturing spontaneous moments such as this young boy sitting in a laundrette and watching a pigeon through the window. A typical childs pram of the 1960s can be seen in the background.
