Battersea Bridge - Misty Moonlight. An arch and pier of the Old Battersea Bridge, which was not replaced until 1881, seen from the southeast. It is closely related to Whistler's 'Nocturne: Blue and Gold - Old Battersea Bridge' but does not achieve the Japanese qualities that Whistler sought with his use of limited tones and simple shapes.
