Daily Telegraph, Fleet Street. George Davison Reid photographed the Daily Telegraph's new building from across Fleet Street. The first of the American-style newspaper palaces in the street, it was designed for the new owners in 1928. The upper floor of the 'Neo-Graeco-Egyptian' building incorporated a director's penthouse suite. The Telegraph building was the most prominent in Fleet Street until it was upstaged by the black glass Daily Express building in 1932.
