Bikers outside the Ace Cafe, North Circular Road. The Ace Cafe on the North Circular Road was a popular haunt for the 'Ton-Up boys'. Arriving on their motorbikes, rockers would congregate at this cafe and others to mend their bikes, play rock-n-roll music on the jukeboxes, and socialise. Record racing was one thrill at the Ace Cafe. Bikers would put on a jukebox record and race each other to a chosen place and back before the record ended.
